Advert: Self harm and Mental Health Counsellors
Service: Harmless and it’s associated projects
Positions: Part time (various) – minimum £23,712 pro rata
Harmless is a specialist self harm service looking to recruit several experienced counsellors to join their team. The recruited counsellors will be working with, and have experience providing counselling to, individuals with a variety of mental health needs and be willing to work dynamically and creatively to meet the needs of people with complex needs.
The post holders will provide weekly counselling to those who self harm, or are experiencing distress and assess individuals for their suitability for this work.
The successful applicants will also be expected to maintain supporting systems for the counselling service, including confidential record keeping and case management.
There are several part time opportunities available within Harmless, working at a variety of locations with both young people and adults.
The successful applicant will be a registered member of BACP and have minimum Diploma training looking towards or having already achieved accreditation. We are looking for a minimum of one year’s commitment and will look to increase hours.
