Harmless Director and co-founder, Caroline Roe has been short listed for Tesco Mum of The Year Award. Following her own significant struggle with self harm, Caroline made a full recovery and now works as a psychotherapist within the service that she set up to ensure that no one else should go unsupported.
Caroline was written off by many professionals as a time waster and an attention seeker, yet she fought against the odds to take back her life and help others.
Now many years on she aspires to be a good role model to others in despair but namely to her one year old son.
“Being a mum is something that I never thoughts I’d have and is the best thing I have ever done. I don’t do what I do for recognition, but because I love my son and want to be the best mum I can be for him and the best person I can be, in helping others.”
