This week is National Health Visiting Week which is running between 26th and 30th September 2016. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the amazing health visiting profession.
Health Visiting is one of the professions that works with families and children at the very early stage of their lives and is a profession that is currently threatened by Government cuts. Health Visiting aims at promoting the health and wellbeing of children and their families and is an early intervention service that we cannot afford to do without. With attachment and family function a great correlate to later child development and emotional development, it is a profession that we need to support.
