A 2 day ASIST course

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is for everyone 16 or older-regardless of prior experience-who wants to be able to provide suicide first aid. Shown by major studies to significantly reduce suicidality, the ASIST model teaches effective intervention skills while helping to build suicide prevention networks in the community.
A 2 day MHFA course

MHFA is an educational course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue. In the same way as we learn physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid teaches

you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health. By completing this course it will develop your skills, abilities and confidence in being able to support individuals with a range of mental health conditions.

Bespoke Specialist Level 4 IAPT Self Harm and Suicide Prevention Training

This course provides an advanced overview of self harm and suicide training specifically aimed for those working within IAPT services

It covers the following;

* Awareness raising

* Policy, Strategy & Contextual issues

* Advanced skills

* Risk assessment & Safety plans

* Brief interventions

* Recovery 

A 1 day intermediate/advanced self harm course

Our general training days provide an opportunity for individuals from abroad range of professional arenas to attend and get a detailed overview of self harm and working with self harm. 

Our training days cover:

* What self harm is, and who it effects

* What causes someone to self harm and some of the myths around self harm

* What can be done to support and help people who self harm

* Managing the impact of self harm as an individual and a workplace

* Useful interventions for working with people who self harm and promoting empowerment

* Managing and assessing risk

A range of bespoke options for the above courses themes.

All of our courses are CPD accredited or externally validated, have service user representation at the heart of the work that we deliver and are clinically applicable.

All finance raised through the delivery of training is used to provide support services nationally for those facing crisis and unable to access help through traditional means. We are a non-profit making organisation and in you buying training through us can be assured of quality, performance and that you are saving lives with your actions.
