title - welcome

Harmless is a user led organisation that provides support, information, training and consultancy to people who self harm, their friends and families and professionals.

We hope that you find the site a useful source of support and information. Feel free to look around and we welcome your thoughts and feedback about our site and services.

We would also encourage everyone who feels able to complete our questionnaires and polls as this will help us develop a better awareness of who is accessing Harmless and the kind of difficulties they face.

We invite you to say hello and sign our guestbook.

Help to give self harm a voice!

We are looking for people who are willing to speak about their experiences of self harm, on film, to help raise awareness of self harm. You will be paid expenses.

We are also looking for anyone from the East Midlands who would be willing to have their photograph taken for publicity materials. We would especially welcome contact from people who are disabled or from ethnic minority communities as they are currently under represented amongst our volunteers.

There is a service for children and young people aged 11-21 on a Wednesday from 4pm, and for adults aged 18+ on a Thursday from 11am. There will be staff on hand to support you, and talk to you, and work with you to overcome your difficulties. Please feel free to come along and get to know the team.
